Privacy
What we collect, why, and how little of it there is. No advertising trackers, nothing sold on to anyone, and nothing that touches your device unless you agree to it.
We collect almost nothing.
- We count page views anonymously. That part uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and cannot identify you.
- Anything beyond that — session recordings, performance timings — only runs if you accept the banner, and never if you decline.
- We use no advertising trackers, no social media pixels, and no data brokers.
- If you contact us or apply for a job, we get what you typed into the form — because we need it to reply.
- We keep job applications for 2 years and contact enquiries for 12 months, then delete them.
- We have never sold data to anyone and do not intend to start.
How we measure the site
We count page views so we can see which of our work people actually find useful. This runs on Vercel Analytics, and it is cookieless — it writes nothing to your browser, sets no identifiers, and cannot single you out or follow you to other sites. What we see is aggregate: how many people read a page, and roughly where in the world they were.
Because it stores nothing on your device and cannot identify you, this measurement is not something we ask permission for, and it continues whether or not you accept the banner. We would rather say that plainly than imply a choice that is not real.
Accepting the banner additionally turns on two things that do use cookies. Microsoft Clarity records how people move through a page — scrolling, clicking, where they get stuck — and aggregates it into session replays and heatmaps so we can fix what is confusing. Alongside it, performance measurement records how quickly pages load so we can find the slow ones.
Both are optional, both are off unless you accept, and declining leaves them off. Clarity is the reason we ask at all: without it there would be nothing on this site that needed permission.
When you contact us
The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional company name, and your message. We use it to answer you, and for nothing else. It reaches us as an email — we do not keep a separate database of enquiries.
We will send you a confirmation email so you have a record that it arrived.
We keep enquiries for 12 months, which covers the normal life of a conversation that starts and stops, and then we delete them. Ask us sooner and we will delete it sooner.
When you apply for a job
A job application asks for your first and last name, your city and country, your email address, and your CV. A cover letter is optional. All of it comes to us as an email with your documents attached.
We use it to assess your application and to talk to you about it. We do not pass it to anyone outside ArcOS Solutions, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
We keep applications for 2 years. We are a small studio and roles open irregularly, so holding on to a good application means we can come back to you when something fits rather than asking you to watch a careers page. After 2 years we delete it.
You are asked to agree to this explicitly before your application is sent — that tick is our record that you were told. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing careers@arcos.solutions, and we will delete everything we hold about you.
Please do not send us data you would rather we did not hold. We do not need your date of birth, a photograph, health information, or anything about your religion, politics, or family situation, and we would rather not have it. If a CV includes that sort of detail, we do not use it in any decision.
Who else handles it
Three companies process data on our behalf, and only these three.
- Vercel — hosts the site and provides the anonymous page-view and performance measurement described above.
- Resend — delivers the emails generated by the contact and careers forms.
- Microsoft — provides Clarity, the session-recording and heatmap tool. Only runs if you accepted the banner; if you declined, it is never loaded.
All three are bound to process the data only as instructed. There are no advertising networks, data brokers, or social media pixels involved at any point.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to how we are using it, and to receive a copy. You can also complain to your data protection authority — in Croatia that is AZOP.
In practice the only things we hold are an enquiry you sent us, or an application you made. Ask and we will delete either, without asking you why.
Change your preference
This clears the choice you made and shows the banner again, so you can pick differently. The anonymous page count is unaffected either way.
